Our journey started in 2020 at the beginning of the pandemic. We heard stories of people in our local community that were struggling with the impact of Covid-19, suffering with mental health issues, isolation, loss of jobs and housing.
We knew we had to act to support the most vulnerable members of our society, including the elderly, unemployed, homeless and at risk individuals as well as helping front line workers. We did this by donating PPE equipment, food items, educational and mental health materials.
When the pandemic ended, we knew there was still more to do. Cities all over the country are still struggling with the impact of the pandemic, years of under funding and now the pressure of the cost of living crisis, and Stoke-on-Trent is no different.
That's why we're doing everything we can to continue supporting those at risk groups, particularly those that face the prospect of long-term unemployment. We're here to empower individuals and create more prosperous communities in Stoke-on-Trent and beyond.
Over the years, PPE4 community CIC, has achieved significant milestones in empowering individuals and making a positive impact in the community. Here are some of our notable achievements:

upskilling
Throughout the project, we successfully up-skilled 70 individuals in various digital competencies, including computing, CV writing, online job search, business plan writing, and software development. By equipping them with these skills, we enhanced their employability and career prospects.

We conducted workshops and provided access to equipment for 50 individuals, helping them update their CVs effectively. Through personalized guidance and resources, we empowered them to present their qualifications and experiences in a compelling manner.

We supported 15 beneficiaries in securing full-time or part-time employment opportunities. By providing job search assistance and connecting them with suitable employers, we helped them embark on their desired career paths.
Academic
Support
Through our equipment and resources, we aided 10 individuals in passing their GCSEs. By facilitating research and revision, we empowered them to achieve academic success and open doors to further educational opportunities.
Digital
Marketing Courses
Two beneficiaries completed online courses in the introduction to digital marketing, enhancing their knowledge and skills in this rapidly evolving field.
Maths &
Financial Literacy
We introduced two beneficiaries to financial literacy and basic understanding of the financial markets and cryptocurrency through our facilitation partner. This knowledge provided them with a solid foundation for making informed financial decisions.
We have supported 4 GCSE students to achieve pass grades in Maths organising personal tuition.
Educational
Advancement
We supported 10 children from low-income households in pursuing further education. Eight enrolled in college programs, while two successfully pursued A-level studies, unlocking new opportunities for their future.
Employment
Support
Twenty individuals received support in accessing employment opportunities through platforms such as Indeed, CV Library, and LinkedIn. We guided them in job search strategies and connected them with suitable employers.
Digital
Workshops
We delivered two digital workshops, benefiting a total of 15 participants. These workshops provided valuable insights and practical skills to navigate the digital landscape effectively.
Entrepreneurship
Success
We have supported 5 beneficiaries to successfully established self-employment ventures in graphic and web design, photography, and fashion turning their passion into sustainable businesses.

upskilling
We placed over 20 beneficiaries with digital up-skilling from basic Computer literacy sessions to web-site updating sessions, 3 of the beneficiaries have transitioned to full-time employment, 4 of the beneficiaries have undertaken consultancy contracts, others gaining work experience and internships. These interventions have provided valuable hands-on experience and opened doors to future career growth.
Software Development Internship
We provided several 40-hour internship opportunities to beneficiaries in software development, and app development through our project partner, Autom8 Rec. This experience equipped them with practical skills and industry exposure.
Refugee
Support
We supported Ukrainian, and also Iranian refugees by providing employability support and signposting to language tutors as part of interview preparation sessions, ultimately assisting them in securing new roles and fostering a fresh start in their life.
Mental Health Interventions
We conducted several mental health interventions by signposting to local organisations, we have offered mind-set sessions to local young people. By providing a supportive environment and guidance, we aimed to improve their mental well-being and promote personal growth.

Lottery funding
In 2023 we knew our mission wasn't over. There was still more we needed to do. We were successful in securing grant funding through the National Lottery which has allowed us to support our local community for at least 2 years; aimed at helping 60 beneficiaries
To date we have supported over 120 young beneficiaries so far through this Lottery funded project.
These achievements reflect our commitment to empowering individuals, fostering educational and professional growth, and supporting the well-being of our community members. We are proud of these accomplishments and remain dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of those we serve.
